Dry Idea Antiperspirant Review + Giveaway

For as long as I can remember, I have always had a problem with sweating excessively. Maybe its in my genetics, or maybe its because that's just how I "show" that I am hot...but either way, I sweat ALOT. 


I have read over the years that sometimes your body gets "immune" to deodorant, or even perfume, which is why it is recommended to try new things and new scents to overpower your natural "musk". Which is why I was very excited to try out Dry Idea's new Roll-On Powder Fresh 24 HR Antiperspirant and Deodorant. 

Unlike most products, this one contains no water - allowing a drier application. With it silicone-based foundation - that is their "secret" to allow you to stay dry all day. What I really like about this Roll-On deodorant, is that is really gave me ALL day protection from being out in this crazy 100 degree Missouri weather we have been having. 


Dry Idea allowed me to have little to no odor, and gave me the comfort of having an deodorant that didn't smell like a gym locker. The product is hypo-allergenic and it even contains Vitamin E. 


After trying this product out consistently for more than a week, I can honestly say that I am really glad that I switched. With it's long lasting protection, I feel great and confident being around my family and friends - even outdoors!

My Great Grandma Mary

My father's maternal grandmother ~ my Great Grandma Mary passed away at the age of 87 years old on Monday, June 4th, 2012 after fighting a long term illness.

She was born January 24th, 1925 in Howard, Kansas and had 4 beautiful children (including my Grandma Reta) with my Grandpa Bill Scott. They divorced and she married her second husband Truman Houston, where lived in Hamilton, and then later on in Eureka, KS.

I am going to miss her so much, and I will always remember everything about her...her laugh, her smell, her beauty, her independence, and most of all her ability to be such a strong woman. I love you so much Grandma Mary! I am so happy you were able to meet my beautiful family and that we were able to make some memories. 

I hope to find more photos of her in the future from family members. We remembered and honored her life on Friday, June 8th, 2012 in Eureka, Kansas.

Worlds of Fun - May/June 2012

This summer, we had the opportunity to buy World's of Fun season passes (located in Kansas City) at a discounted rate and decided to buy them for our whole family. 


We weren't so sure if the girls were quite big enough to ride anything, but eventually ended up buying Destin a pass as well, and Arwen is FREE until she turns 3. So, woo hoo! Yet, another place we can go as many times as we want this summer. Destin is 36 inches and can ride pretty anything in Planet Snoopy, and Arwen is at 32 inches tall...so will need to wait til next year to ride the same things.
