"Big Box for Ben" by Deborah Bruss

"Big Box for Ben" (published February 2011)
Written
by Deborah Bruss, Illustrated by Tomek Bogacki

Description:
Ben's ordinary big box enables him and Wags, his dog, to take off on some extraordinary, imaginary adventures. Ben's imagination turns his box into a variety of vehicles for great adventures where he discovers the sky's the limit...and young readers will be encouraged to do the same. Board Book.

My thoughts...
This very cute, very short (only 9 pages) board book truly shares the imagination of babies, toddlers and preschoolers. We recently bought a new car seat for my oldest daughter, and she is absolutely loving the box that it came in - one day its a house, the next day its a closet, its even a place for her tea parties. And it may come to no surprise - that she loved this book (at the ripe age of 2).

The illustrations are very cute, and still show the reader the box from which they originated. I would recommend this book to any age baby and up, and would encourage every family with little ones to go and buy this book! Even though it is very short, it would make a great addition to that baby shower gift or birthday present for a little boy or girl.
